The Wheeler Opera House will present Casa Mañana’s national touring production of “A Year With Frog And Toad” on Saturday, April 1 at 5:00 p.m. Sponsored by Neiman Marcus and based on the treasured children’s books by Arnold Lobel, this whimsical musical follows two great friends – the cheerful, popular Frog and the rather grumpy Toad – through the year. Featuring a jazzy, upbeat score that bubbles with melody and wit, the show is an inventive, exuberant, and enchanting experience for the whole family. This whimsical musical follows Frog and Toad through four, fun-filled seasons, meeting new friends like Man Bird and Lady Bird; Father, Mother and Young Frog; Turtle; Squirrel and many more along the way. Waking from hibernation in the Spring, Frog and Toad plant gardens, swim, rake leaves, go sledding, and learn life lessons along the way. The two best friends celebrate and rejoice in their differences that make them unique and special. Part vaudeville, part make believe, all charm, “A Year With Frog And Toad” tells the story of a friendship that endures, weathering all seasons.


The production is directed and choreographed by Noah Putterman, Director of Theatre for Youth at Casa Mañana.
