A family friendly and energetic show, New Odyssey will be presented by the Glenwood Springs Community Concert Association on Sunday, April 30, at 7 p.m. at Glenwood Springs High School. New memberships for the 70th anniversary season will be sold in the lobby before the concert, providing complimentary admittance to the night’s event.
New Odyssey, known as Three Guys—Thirty Instruments, performs a raucous production featuring comedy, skits, and audience participation. The men of New Odyssey are a power-packed team with eclectic backgrounds ranging in areas of musical theater to acrobatics. Their comedic stunts take their performance far beyond the basics of a traditional concert, while classic rock, country, novelty and specialty arrangements are their calling card.
Membership in the concert association enables pass holders to attend five programs during the 2017-2018 season at affordable rates: Adult, $40 each; student, $15; family, $90. As an additional benefit, members may attend concerts in Craig, Delta, and Grand Junction.
Next season’s concerts are as follows:
Sept. 20 – Alias Brass, a brass quintet with a blend of classical, jazz and pop
Nov. 16 – Croon, baritone Todd Murray with piano bass ensemble
Feb. 10 – Wind Sync – Dynamic quintet playing masterworks and modern music
