The Glenwood Springs Chamber Resort Association (GSCRA) has announced the formation of the Glenwood Springs Chamber Foundation, a 501C-3 tax exempt affiliate of the chamber.

According to GSCRA Board Chair Ian Exelbert, “By leveraging charitable giving the Glenwood Springs Chamber Foundation will provide a vehicle to connect the best business minds with the community’s innovative thinkers to help solve important community challenges. We hope to underwrite civic, cultural and educational programs through fund raising and grant writing resources that are only available to foundations.”

He added, “For the past few years the chamber has focused on providing information about the Grand Avenue Bridge construction and sustaining businesses through that process. Now we’d like to focus on strategic planning and workforce development. The foundation provides a vehicle to increase our resources for important community initiatives like these. We’d also like to expand the Strawberry Days Scholarship program and help the City achieve community and economic development goals.”

Contributions to the Glenwood Springs Chamber Foundation are tax-deductible as charitable contributions. For more information, contact Angie Anderson, angie@glenwoodchamber.com.
