The Garfield County Coroner’s Office has confirmed That A body found on an island in the Colorado River over the weekend near Parachute has been identified as that of Joshua Gomez, a29-year-old Rifle man who has been missing for a few weeks. Gomez who was last seen at a bus stop in New Castle around May 25. The Coroner’s Office is asking for any information from the public regarding Gomez’s whereabouts after that time.
The Eagle County Sheriff’s office is seeking three men seen speeding from the Bocco Hill Area on Saturday moments before a wildfire started that has now consumed 415 acres just north of Wolcott.
The Sheriff’s Office confirmed that the fire started near the Wolcott gun range and they are looking for three males who were in a red and white truck.
A white sedan was also seen leaving the area at a high rate of speed around the same time. One of these males was wearing an orange shirt.

Though still consuming 1 over 400 acres officials say The #BoccoFire is 50% contained. Evacuations for the Alkali Creek Neighborhood were lifted at 1 pm yesterday and residents were able to return to their homes. Crews will continue mop-up efforts in the area today.
Atty General Jeff Sessions Cam to speak at a Conservative summit in Denver over the weekend, but made news by not making any news. Sessions did not address legal marijuana, a subject he historically has a opposed nor did he discuss
immigration enforcement including separating families at the border and the large number of people showing up at the border seeking asylum.
Sessions did briefly discuss sanctuary jurisdictions, but did not mention any state town or city by name.
