Limelight Hotels, Aspen and Aspen Skiing Company have taken over the race operations of the 10k race formerly known as the Town and Trail (TNT) 10k. The new incarnation of this race is known as the Caring for Community (C4C) 10K. The race takes place at 9 a.m. on Saturday, October 6 and starts and ends around Wagner Park.  The course showcases a unique route on various trails, bike paths, and sidewalks around Aspen and has become an off-season highlight for many local runners. In-person registration is Friday, October 5 from 3-7 p.m. at the Limelight Hotel in Aspen. Registration is also available the morning of the race from 7-9 a.m. As the title sponsor, the Limelight Hotel Aspen will host an after-party. Registration for the race is available online at https://www.aspensnowmass.com/while-you-are-here/events/town-and-trail-race.

The race will raise money for the Caring for Community Fund, the ASC employee fund, which helps support local humanitarian nonprofits and organizations in areas such as mental health, healthcare, childhood education and food aid. “Building on the excitement and success of the charity efforts in the past year, we are thrilled to continue holding this great event in the community,” said Henning Rahm, Limelight Hotel Aspen General Manager.  “Working with like-minded people and groups in the community will maximize the footprint of the event, and we hope this will be the first of many successful collaborations leading to a better life for individuals in the community at large.”

There are still volunteer opportunities for the race ranging from pre-race set up, registration, course marshals, finish line help, post-race party (set up, operation and breakdown), post-race breakdown, course signage setup and breakdown.
